Productive time index

Fact-based productivity metric

We show how much time is spent on value-creating work.

Measurement period3–4 weeks
OutputProductive time ratio
GoalIncrease focus

Problem

There is no shared, quantified view of how much time is truly productive.

Solution

We quantify productive vs. non-productive time and the loss drivers to focus improvement.

Our approach

Based on JC360 data we quantify productive vs non-productive time and uncover loss drivers.

We define productive and “gray-zone” activities by role and by activity type (e.g., using email is not productive unless it is client correspondence).

Measurement covers computer, non-computer, and mobile activities. The result is a clear productivity baseline and a focus map for improvement.

Use cases

  • Team management – improve focus-time ratio
